Project Synopsis: Redevelopment of a plumbing warehouse into an organic goat cheese creamery and retail sales facility in Basalt, Colorado. Goat milk is produced in Paonia, Colorado and shipped to Basalt for processing, aging and sales to local farmer's markets, restaurants, grocery stores and individuals. This compact and efficient boutique facility was designed to handle up to 10 years of goat herd growth and to produce 7-8 varieties of fresh and aged cheese. The front retail space is also designed to handle small groups for tasting, education and training in cheese making.
